Mississippi's WLBT 3 reports that a 20-year-old woman from Madison County, Mississippi was arrested outside of Hattiesburg on the morning of Tuesday, April 22 on charges of driving under the influence causing death.

At around 10 a.m. on Tuesday Shelby Brown, a student at the University of Southern Mississippi turned herself in after being involved in a crash that caused the death of 20-year-old Sumrall resident Kaitlyn Bryant earlier in the month.

According to investigators, toxicology results showed Brown to be over the legal limit when the accident occurred. She made an appearance in court where bond was set at $100,000.
