North Carolina's WRAL reports that on July 19, eight people sustained personal injuries in a single-vehicle DUI crash southeast of Four Oaks, North Carolina.

According to officials, there were 11 occupants inside the vehicle, which crashed at approximately 1 p.m.

Three of the people involved were pinned by the vehicle and one was required to be transported from the scene via helicopter. Other victims of the crash, including children, required transport via ambulance to area hospitals.

The driver was charged with drunken driving (DUI).
